UI/UX + Design Systems + Brand Expansion
Negro Leagues Baseball Museum Web Design
BRIEF
The NLBM needed a new website that could steward the national significance of the museum beyond Kansas City, as well as turnkey user experience optimizations to expedite transactional user paths for donations, tickets, and shopping. And their web presence was not on par with its true national significance, and their visitor engagement was lacking true revenue-driving potential.
We started at the top with strategic structuring of the site for our core audiences — donors, members, and visitors. From there, we balance the needs of those users with the best value the NLBM could provide to guide user flows and content hierarchy. This was done through sitemaps, wireframes, and even optimized through the initial design concept phase.
Along the way, we took their branding and optimized it for the web — bringing best practice UI/UX color theory usage and accessibility to the forefront. And we took the NLBM with us every step of the way so they could ultimately own their brand on the website in the most ethical and accessible ways.
